Battle of Britain
The Battle of Britain was a very important part of the war. It was all because the Nazis wanted even more land after taking most of Europe so they attacked the south part of Britain which was a mistake because the Allies had intense training which meant that the British had no worries about the Nazis. Even though the British were outnumbered 20-1 their intense training and their weapons played a part in the British victory.
Planes that were used in Battle of Britain
The Spitfire was one of the best British planes used because it had incredible agility whilst its turning was really sharp so in the end the Spitfire would end up behind the enemy plane which then gave the chance for the Spitfire to shoot the enemy planes.
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 was the most popular plane for the Nazis because it was used about 30,000 times. Other planes were used much less than the Bf 109. The Bf 109 was popular because of its speed and weapons it carried that had good power to damage the British.
The Hurricane was a British fighter plane that was used in World War 2 because the weapons that it carried were powerful enough to really damage the enemy plane. If it was heavily damaged they would have to come back to their base and repair the plane. That meant if the Hurricane damaged more and more planes so they would go back to their base and will give the Allies a chance to push the Nazis back.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was specialised in speed and killing ability. It was the second most German used plane in the whole of World War Two it was used around 13,000 times. The Fw 190 was like the German version of the Spitfire (due to popularity).
The end of the Battle of Britain
At the end the British won the war because the British had more experience which meant that they had a better chance of winning the war.If they had won we would be now speaking German.
